Engine diagnostic and performance
Every vehicle since 1996 has been equipped with an On-Board Diagnostic System. Discrepancies in performance levels are reported through your vehicles computer system. Once “Check Engine” or “Service Engine” light is displayed on your dash board your next step should be to seek out an engine diagnostic by one of our technicians. It is important to deal with problems as they arrive so that they don’t cause other complications or failures. Usually having you “Check Engine” light on means your engine is not running efficiently and there for will not pass the Ontario Drive Clean test.

Starting, Charging and Batterys

The purpose of a battery is to supply necessary currant to the starter motor and the ignition system while cranking to start the engine. Once engine is running the alternator takes over and starts supplying power to the vehicle and charge the battery. If the alternator stops charging the red “Battery” light will go on, there for your vehicle is running on your battery power only for a limited time. You need to get to a shop ASAP.
It is important to insure that your vehicles battery is in good shape and alternator is charging every time you visit the shop.
We offer many types of battery’s: Napa premium, Bosch, Interstate and also have access to all original manufacturer battery’s.
For starters and alternators we offer rebuilt units or brand new. Both are a great choice. The choice depends on your budget or how long you are planning to keep the vehicle.
Brakes
Brakes are one of the key safety components on your vehicle, there for parts and regular service and inspection are very important. We offer a free brake inspection with every oil change at our shop.
When the time has come for your brakes to be changed there are a few options. For your average family vehicle our go to package is OEM brake pads and coated brake rotors. This package is fairly priced and is equivalent and/or exceeds most manufacturer specifications. We also offer OEM parts straight from the dealer and high end performance brands.
Emission Repair
It is recommended to do an “On-Board Diagnostic” on you vehicle if you have a “Check Engine” light on before you do the emission test. If your “Check Engine” light is on, it means there are fault codes stored in you on board computer system and there for your vehicle will not pass the emission test. It is important that our technicians address the problem before getting the test done. Trouble codes can mean a number of things, for example: your engine may need a tune-up, one of the sensors can be malfunctioning or a leak in your EVAP system. Our technicians  are trained and equipped to deal with any of these scenarios and more.
Exaust
There are many options when it comes to exhaust repair. The one we recommend is a direct fit good quality aftermarket solution. It is the most inexpensive and practical solution that will endure the test of time. Of course we also offer OEM and performance exhaust if that’s what you prefer. It all depends on how long you are keeping your vehicle and you budget.
